Taking on new roles in the UNAA-NSW Executive Committee, Brett Martin has stepped up to serve as Vice-President of Programs, and Paula Rose Castronova has stepped up to serve as Director and Pillar Lead for Sustainability.

UNAA-NSW President Dr. Patricia Jenkings announced these appoints after the February Executive Committee Meeting. “I am delighted to see Brett and Paula taking the lead on these roles. They have long been invaluable contributors to the organisation. I look forward to seeing the new programs and projects that they will be leading.” 

 

Brett Martin – Vice President of Programs

Brett Martin is the Vice President (Programs) and Global Citizenship Pillar Lead for the United Nations Association of Australia (NSW Division).

Brett received his Masters of Social Work from the University of Sydney in 2015. Brett currently works with the NSW Department of Communities & Justice supporting an early intervention program for vulnerable children, families and communities delivered by over 500 non-government organisations across NSW. Brett has 30 years of experience in the fields of Child Protection and Disaster Welfare.

In his downtime he likes creating digital art, live music and the poetry of Rumi. He lives in the Inner West of Sydney and can be contacted at brett.martin@unaa.org.au.

Paula Rose Castronova – Director & Pillar Lead for Sustainability

Paula Rose comes from a background in the visual art of making media with various academic accolades and while studying for a master’s in Gastronomical Tourism she began the in-depth understanding of what sustainability means to local communities.  Throughout the Covid epidemic, she finished two diplomas at Cambridge University in Sustainable Management where they stress the importance of the United Nations Sustainability Goals in unifying a global promotion through partnerships from all sectors of society to Net Zero.  

After her diploma from the UNAA NSW, she became part of the exceptional people on the Sustainability Pillar and is now its Director bringing a focus to hold up the individuals who contribute to the team for their selfless pursuit of integrity in pushing forward renewable resources and a circular economy through the United Nations Sustainability Goals in NSW.
